Enabling or disabling multi-factor authentication

Multi-factor authentication enhances security by requiring an additional authentication code when logging in. Multiple authenticator applications, such as Google Authenticator and 1Password are supported.
  1. In the main menu, go to Settings > User > Multi-factor authentication.
  2. Under Password and security, use the toggle button to enable or disable multi-factor authentication.
  3. If you are
    1. Enabling multi-factor authentication: Read the QR code with your authenticator application and input the confirmation code from the authenticator application. Select Confirm.
    2. Disabling multi-factor authentication: Select Disable. Type your password to confirm your choice, and select Confirm.
    important If a user cannot disable multi-factor authentication due to a lost or stolen device, an administrator can do it for them. In the main menu, go to Settings > Accounts. Locate the user in the user list and, under Multi-factor authentication, select Disable. In the Disable multi-factor authentication window, select Confirm.
