Analyzing road roughness data with data inspector

The data inspector is available only for augmented road roughness data. Use the data inspector in the video player to understand why a road section has a high road roughness value.
  1. In the main menu, go to Data.
  2. At the bottom right, enable the Road network or Videos feature layer.
  3. With your preferred road roughness data overlay active, select a road section with a red or reddish color to open the video player. If multiple videos are available, select the most recent.
  4. Open the data inspector. The list view opens by default.
  5. Select a road roughness parameter from the list to view a detailed graph.
  6. The vertical line cursor on the graph shows the current location in the video. Observe how the road roughness value changes near the line cursor. Hover over the graph to see the exact value.
  7. Select a point on the graph to jump to that location in the video.
  8. To switch back to the list view, select the list view icon in the upper left corner of the graph.
  9. In the list view, review the extent values of individual distresses. Look for distresses with high extent values that correlate with high road roughness values.

Computer vision‑based data values assigned to a data point are combined and calculated from multiple frames. No individual frame represents the full value of a data point.
