Creating annotations and audio notes while recording

Annotations cannot be tagged while recording.
You can create an annotation with the Bluetooth button, or with the annotation button on the screen. On-screen annotations should only be used for surveys on foot, not when driving a vehicle.
Audio capture must be enabled in Settings > Audio capture to record audio notes.
  1. With the Bluetooth button:
    1. Press any button on the Bluetooth button to create an annotation. A sound indicates the annotation was recorded.
    2. Press and hold any button on the Bluetooth button until you are done speaking to create an audio note. A sound plays when the audio note recording starts, and again when it stops.
tip A sound plays when the audio note recording starts and ends. Wait for the sound before starting to speak.
The Bluetooth button enters sleep mode after 10 minutes of inactivity. To exit sleep mode, press any button once on the Bluetooth button.
